Good cake reasonable price
Ordered a birthday cake for my 2 year old granddaughter in the theme of toy story , collected on the Saturday for the Sunday . Unfortunately the little fondant toy story figure was so badly made its head fell off in the night , plus the overall weight of the figure had coursed the cake to sink underneath the figure !!!! All in all feel very let down by Monias cakes ! It is to late to do anything about this as its the birthday today , but be assured I will never use this cake shop again , and I highly highly recommend staying away from them , they seem to have struggled with the simplist of cakes so dont hold out much hope for anything more advanced!!!! PS I have photos as proof but I am unable to post on this review page .
Popped in with hubby on Sunday afternoon for a cuppa and a cake! What a lovely surprise. The cake at this shop is to die for! I had the lemon cake and my husband the carrot cake. Both were gorgeous. So light, beautifully baked and a nice big portion. I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is and said the coffee was good too. The young man that served us said his mum made the cakes. Monia I am assuming. She is one talented lady. If in Latchford, pop in. You will not be disappointed!
visited this lovely cake shop today. have passed in the car many times and it looked so inviting. Popped in to get my husband a piece of cake but wasn't sure what to get. There were a number of samples. I went for a green sample sorry forgot the name, with a cup of teaLovely cafe, welcoming young man and so clean. I bought the cake spinach in. My husband has just eaten the cake his words " delicious best piece of cake I have had in a long time. By the way so reasonably priced cup of lovely tea and cake 3.50. Well worth a visit.Sharon
