A lovely old museum telling the history of Warrington and relating it to what happened at the time. You will find some of the exhibit's looking dated. But it is well worth a few hours wondering around. Just to let you know there is no caf here, so that is why I gave it a four star rating.
Was initially there for specific items to view. The staff are amazing, went above and beyond to help us commoners no they made us aware of items of specific interest and managed to get us some special viewings although I know they do this for everyone it felt special. We even went back a few days later a. New place to go learn and chill.
Free craft for children every saturday at noon.Donations welcome.Very friendly staff! And nice museum collection and interactive room for kids
This is somewhere to go to kill a couple of hours ...it's interesting to look around but it's only the half the size of say Manchester or Liverpool museum's. But still good with a lot of the history of Warrington. There's no cafe anymore which is a shame. But there is always activities for children to enjoy why your there.
One of the best littlest museums I've been too! I've been throughout the years & its got a great selection of artifacts on show & a brilliant selection that relates directly to Warrington's history. Nicely laid out & good size text to read. I went to the New town at 50 exhibition which was lovely to reminisce at. Well worth spending an hour or two there!
