I was really disappointed with today's visit to the vet. I am the owner of a German Shepherd, we had an appointment for a general check of my dog's health and one vaccination. The veterinarian refused to examine the dog because he was afraid of him. He was afraid to approach him, touch him. If he has such a problem, then he should think about changing his profession. He wasted my time. We were with the same man last year. There was an ulcer on the dog's tongue. The veterinarian tried to make a diagnosis from a long distance. He said if it grows bigger then come again, or we will do a treatment for 400 pounds.
Took our rabbit with a broken leg the vet didnt seem to know much about rabbits ( the 3rd most popular pet in Britain) the only options we were given was expensive reconstructive surgery which might not be successful or amputation. Then got referred to Ashleigh Vets in chorlton who were brilliant, re assessed and splinted her leg and are confident itll heal and charged a fraction of what wed been charged in Warrington.
Had no problems here having my bun neutered. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Got two post-op check ups too.
The vets here are really caring, and give you lots of advice. They answered all my questions and were great with my cat who isnt great with vets and strangers. Dont have to wait long for appointments, and the receptionist was a young girl, who was patient with me and really helpful.
Love this place. Reception and vets all lovely, haven't met one yet who was anything but excitement and care for the animals. My little one is as apprehensive as any dog when going to the vets, the smells alone for him must be overwhelming, never mind any memories of boosters and kennel cough shots! but the love and excitement shown soon has him bouncing across the room and round behind reception for a look and a love. Can't fault the place at all, prices seem reasonable from what I hear but I haven't gone anywhere else in years anyway. Though it does always cost more for a little treat from Pets at Home on the way out, but who can resist!
