Only nipped in for a quick drink after getting off a train
Warm welcome, room basic but comfortable great for an emergemcy stop over due to train failure. Right across the road from station. Food was good too.
Despite what one might think this remarkable hotel is probably one of (if not the) Warrington's finest. Extremely clean, staff very attentive and dedicated, combined with a charm that genuinely reminds of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", it manages to deliver a unique experience at a fantastic cost. Would genuinely recommend.
The hotel is very basic and old even if They tried to fix it adding new bathrooms (see pic). It is cold hotel and I had to ask twice (once per day) to turn the heating on. Breakfast is included but it is very basic). The only thing I found pretty good is the service that was impeccable and also very friendly. The room reflects the price but you can find better room quality for same range of price even if the distance from the train is a great benefit for people who need a direct link with the station.
I've stayed in the hotel previously and it's ok. Got a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. This visit however was just a quick visit to the Bar which is open to both non residents and residents alike. Guinness was really good and prices were reasonable too. Just across the road from Warrington Bank Quay station. It's handy if you're early for a train.
